We're excited to announce NoorMatch v2.3 with new features and improvements powered by your feedback!

We're excited to announce a minor release:

• Browse Filters now save automatically: Your preferred filters (e.g., religiosity, region, age) are now saved across sessions, so you don’t need to reapply them each time.
  
• Improved email notifications: We've enhanced the reliability of email alerts when someone sends you a message, after many users shared feedback about not receiving them.

We’re excited to share that version 2.0 of NoorMatch has officially been released!

This update brings major improvements to your mobile experience, powerful new features for walis, and more control for Pro users.

📱 Improved Mobile Experience

We’ve redesigned the platform for a much smoother experience on mobile:

• A new bottom navigation bar gives you faster access to key features
• Improved chat interface for easier conversations on the go
• Notifications are now easier to see in the sidebar and mobile menu

🧕 Wali Features Upgraded

We’ve expanded how walis can support sisters on the platform:

• Walis can now view profiles users have saved
• They can participate in conversations of the users they supervise

👀 Active Status for Profiles

You can now see when a user was last active. This only applies for users you have matched with. More active users are shown higher in the browse results making your search more effective, and rewarding active users.

Prefer more privacy? You can turn this feature off in your settings.

🧔 Family Involvement for Brothers

Brothers can now add family members to their profiles. This is perfect for those who wish to involve parents or siblings in the journey.


⭐ Pro Users: Rematching with previously matched users

• Pro members can now send a rematch request once after unmatching with someone or if the other user unmatches with them

🌟 New Updates on the Platform

🧕 Wali Requirement for Conversations

Sisters are now required to add a wali when initiating a conversation with a match. You can still browse and use the platform freely, but once a match is made and you wish to begin messaging, a wali must be added first.

Read more about why we made this decision and why having a wali is important.

⏸️ Pause or Deactivate Your Account

You now have the option to pause or deactivate your account at any time. This will hide your profile, stop any ongoing activity and unmatch you from any active matches.

• If you have an active subscription, it will be paused and must be manually resumed when you return.
• Lifetime plan users will remain active, as their access is a one-time purchase.

🌍 Localized Pricing Plans

We’ve introduced local pricing, allowing you to become a Pro member using your local currency.

Currently supported regions:

• United Kingdom
• United States
• EU countries
• India
• Pakistan
• Indonesia

More countries coming soon, insha'Allah.

🤲 Oath for Serious Intentions

New users are now required to take an oath to Allah (SWT) when signing up — and also when editing their profile. This step is intended to encourage more serious and respectful participation from everyone, insha’Allah.

🛡️ New Pro User Features

Pro users now have enhanced control over incoming requests. You can now filter requests based on:

• Religiosity
• Region
• Age
• Height & Weight
• Language
• Filter strictness

This ensures you only receive requests that align with your preferences.
